Pre-Conference Workshop Day | Tuesday, November 18

8:00 am Check-In & Light Breakfast

WORKSHOP A

9:00 am Comparing & Contrasting the Different Myeloid Pathways for Functional Reprogramming to Identify Which Pathways are Better Targets

  • Yupeng He Principal Scientist & Lead - Project Immunology Discovery Research, Abbvie
  • Shweta Joshi Principal Investigator & Assistant Professor, University of California San Diego
  • Maija Hollmén Chief Scientific Officer, Faron Pharmaceuticals

Synopsis

A comprehensive deep dive into the key molecular pathways, cell-surface receptors, intracellular regulators, and emerging targets involved in the reprogramming of myeloid cells. Rank different pathways by therapeutic potential, feasibility and safety, to ultimately improve and better identify functional reprogramming strategies.

  • Review the major myeloid-targeted strategies being pursued to reprogram immune-suppressive cells (especially M2-like TAMs) into pro-inflammatory states, or pro-inflammatory ones back to immuno-regulatory/tolerant ones, depending on therapeutic needs
  • Understand why some targets have failed and what lessons can be drawn
  • Compare checkpoint-based targeting with broader metabolic, epigenetic, and transcriptional approaches
  • Explore biomarker strategies for patient selection, disease staging, and response tracking
  • Discuss, evaluate and compare emerging targets and combination therapies

12:00 pm Lunch Break & Networking

WORKSHOP B

1:00 pm Omics-Driven Insights into Cell State, Function & Therapeutic Targeting to Decode Myeloid Complexity & Enable High-Resolution Profiling of Diverse Myeloid Populations

Synopsis

A comprehensive deep-dive led by expert bioinformaticians to better understand what goes on inside the cell. Detect subtle differences in cell states to define and organize myeloid-cell populations, link molecular patterns to functional out comes and pin point novel therapeutic targets.

  • Equip participants with a current understanding of how omics technologies are redefining our view of myeloid cell states and functions
  • Demonstrate the translational impact of omics approaches for biomarker discovery and therapeutic development
  • Provide hands-on conceptual exposure to single-cell, spatial, and functional omics in myeloid-focused immuno-oncology and inflammation contexts
  • Foster alignment across academia and industry around standardization, interpretation, and application of omics data

4:00 pm End of Pre-Conference Workshop Day
